Meat Cannon Golf is the weirdest new golfing game for the iOS and Android platforms. It’s golf, but you shoot meat out of a cannon in order to get the meat (instead of the golf ball) into the hole. You can pick from all sorts of different meat, from a cooked turkey to a meatball to a rack of ribs and everything in between, play nine holes, and unlock new golf courses as you go through the game. Read on for some tips and tricks for Meat Cannon Golf!
When you take a shot, you can swipe it a couple of times in midair in order to spin it. If you spin the meat at the top of its trajectory, then it will mostly stop spinning by the time it hits the ground, so swipe it when it gets close to the ground. Using this technique, you can control which direction the meat rolls after it hits the ground, which is important to avoid overshooting your mark.
Pick a different type of meat depending on what shot you’re on. If you are on your first shot, switch to the meatball, because it has the lowest rolling resistance so it can go the longest distance. For chip shots and putts, though, switch back to the turkey, because once it hits the ground, you can control it more easily. The meatball is susceptible to rolling off the course way too easily.
Be sure to collect your prize and to spin the wheel of meat whenever you log in. The prizes will generally consist of a new skin for your cannon, and will be made available once every four hours. The wheel of meat will be open once per day, and will allow you to spin for a random piece of meat, multiple pieces of meat, or even a bucket of meat.
Multiplayer mode allows you to play with anywhere between two and four players. You can pass the game back and forth on the same phone, as long as the other players are in the same room with you. Either that, or if you want to play all of the players so that you can have multiple chances at the same hole and the highest possible chance to unlock the next stage, you can do that as well.
There are two ways to unlock any one course in this game. The first option, which is free, is to par any course in order to unlock the next course in line. Under par, of course, will allow you to unlock the next level as well, but over par will leave you fruitless. If you want a second chance at a bad hole, watch a video to get a mulligan to reverse a bad shot. This only works if you have an internet connection, or else the video offer won’t pop up.
