Mr. Crab 2 is a new platformer for the iOS and Android platforms. You play as Mr. Crab from the original game, and your goal is to navigate the various circling levels, rescue all of the baby crabs, collect stars and win prizes. You can dress up Mr. Crab in all kinds of cute and funny outfits, earn new crabs, and unlock new levels in multiple ways. Read on for some tips and tricks for Mr. Crab 2!
Your goal in each stage is to make it to the end of the level, regardless of whether or not you pick up all of the baby crabs along the way or not. Watch for their cages so that even if you miss them, you can remember their locations, go back later, and rescue them the next time that you play. The more that you rescue per round, the bigger the rewards.
Stars are the currency of the game. Stars can be used in the gift machine; one spin costs 500 stars. If you don’t have the stars to take a spin, go to the gift machine and watch a video to get a prize instead. You can watch as many videos as you want, and every time that you complete a video, you will earn a new free prize.
The prizes can consist of many things. They can consist of new levels and of outfit pieces. Each crab has pieces specific to them – for example, your starting crab has a top hat, glasses, and boots available to earn. And to get to the new levels that you earn, go to the level select area and scroll up until you see the vending machine levels.
You can get a bronze, silver, or gold medal depending on how many crabs you earn. If you unlock all of the baby crabs specific to one type of crab, you’ll unlock a new crab as a reward. Go back through older levels to look for baby crabs that you have not rescued yet, then rescue them so that you can unlock more and more new crabs. All of the crabs have the same gameplay ability; they just have a different look.
It is actually not possible to die in this game. The only outcome to a level is either winning or quitting the level. Take all the time that you need in order to find the crabs, stars, and other bonuses within a level. No matter how many times you run into an enemy, they can’t kill you. All that they do to you is knock you backward.
