Your method of play is to tap on any string of two or more pieces connected together in a group. You can tap as few or as many as you want; it all depends on what’s available on the board. In general though, it’s best to tap large groups of tiles.
If you tap a large group of tiles, then you’ll earn either a water cannon, a bomb, or a diamond, depending on the size of the group. The water cannon clears out one line of pieces, the bomb clears out a localized block of tiles, and the diamond clears out all the tiles of a specific color. The color depends on the color of the diamond.
Even better is that if you have two special pieces next to each other and tap one of them, they’ll merge and have a huge effect. Tap a diamond next to a water cannon or a bomb, for example, and every piece of that color will become a water cannon or a bomb, then they’ll all blow at once, completely destroying most tiles on the screen.
If you somehow manage to earn two diamonds at a time and get them next to each other, then tap one of them and they’ll merge together, knock out every single tile on the entire board. This is the single rarest and most effective move that you can make. The quicker you finish each round, the more coins you earn at the end.
Hit the task list and you can do whatever job you want, as long as you have enough stars. If you do, then you’ll be able to renovate anything on the list. Keep on renovating and you’ll eventually not only finish out the whole house, but you’ll be able to start unlocking new areas and progressing forward in the story, too.
You lose one energy point, or life, whenever you lose a level. Once you run out of all of your lives, you can either pay gems for them, or you can let them refill on their own.
