OK KO! Lakewood Plaza Turbo is a new beat-em-up/RPG hybrid for the iOS and Android platforms by Cartoon Network. Your goal is to quest through various levels, beating up enemies and bosses, and completing quests for your allies in the Lakewood Plaza area. This is Cartoon Network’s first original property to come out on mobile first. Read on for some tips and tricks for OK KO! Lakewood Plaza Turbo!
Any time that you need to restock on coins because you spent them all, run around the plaza and the forest, punching everything that you can – trash cans, oil drums, and whatnot. Each one of them pops coins out when you hit them, and when you move to a new area, they regenerate, so you can collect coins for as long as you want that way.
If you currently have no quests to do, then go to the plaza and start talking to your other allies there. They’ll send you out on quests, usually to collect a specific object, and when you get enough of that object, their store will reopen. Your goal, of course, is to reopen the entire strip mall in Lakewood Plaza.
At any point in time, you can either check the current quest that you have, or cancel out the current quest. To cancel it out, pause the game and click abort. This is mostly useful for later on when you have a choice of multiple quests to take on at a time, and you want to take care of a different one now and a current one later. These quests can earn you anything from new objects to heart pieces, and of course, more heart pieces means you can take more damage without dying.
You learn a whole lot more moves as you go on, so pause and check the KO menu to see what kind of attacks you can do at any specific time. Check the items menu to see what you can use and check the map menu to see where you are in the over world. You can sometimes find hints as to where to branch off just by checking the maps.
Watch the ads every time that they become available for you to play. They will each time you pass from an old area into a new one. Sometimes the little ad guy won’t have any for you to watch but when he does, that’s free items, and no need to spend coins at the bodega.
