To join a community, you are either going to have to create one and tell people about it, or find one that someone has already created. A good place to look is in the comment section of this article, where you can post your community or join someone else’s. You can also look on the review sections of the App Store for people posting theirs, trying to get the word out, or post your own there.

You get credits the first time that you complete an act or a new wave in an act that you’re already on, but no credits for repeating the feat. You do gain experience, though. Go to the pilot section to collect your rewards every time that you gain an experience level, so that you can purchase more upgrades for your ships.

Be sure to set the push notifications so that you can collect a new ship from the warp gate as soon as you are able to. Each ship has its own unique features and methods of attack. The guns will fire automatically, while your special defense will fire whenever you do force touch. Some ships have charge shots that fire whenever you let off of the screen for a given amount of time and then touch the screen again.

Change your ship depending on what enemies you face in a specific new level of the game. Different kinds of shots are stronger against different kinds of turrets, ships, or even parts of ships (which mostly applies for bosses who have multi-part bodies). Try different ships on a particular level to see what works best for you.

When you upgrade your main gun, not only will you increase the amount of damage that it does, but the characteristics, such as the fire rate and how much the shot spreads out, will change as well. Don’t write off a ship entirely until you see how it does with gun upgrades.
