Pocket Plants: Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats, and Strategies

Pocket Plants is a new puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms where your goal is to create new plants in order to clean up a polluted environment. You make new plants by combining plants, and then you can fill orders in order to collect energy, amethyst, and rubies. You can unlock new environment, laboratories, and other cool upgrades to the game play as well. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pocket Plants!

It’s fairly easy to figure out what combinations you have to make in order to unlock a new plant. Go to the nursery and tap the question mark below your current unlocked plants, and you’ll see the combinations that can unlock it. There are multiple tiers of plants to unlock, and once you make your way all the way down to the bottom tier and unlock that plan, you will be able to move onto the next level.

The easy way to unlock the next tier in its entirety is to buy two of each of the current plant. Plant them, then wait for them to grow, then make each of the possible three combinations and wait for them to unlock. You will quickly have the entire next tier available.

If you mix two incompatible plants together, you will end up with burnt wood instead. It just sits on your board looking like an eyesore and not earning any energy, but if you want to get rid of it, drag it downward and stick it in the inventory box. You will often get orders that include burnt wood as part of the deal, so even though they are useless without the orders, they’re useful to have once the orders come in. The orders will specify which land the burnt wood has to come from, so desert burnt wood and forest burnt wood, for example, are two different things.

Once you complete a set of orders, the next orders will stay locked until after the right amount of time passes, but you can unlock the next set early by tapping on the video icon that pops up to watch an advertisement video. Also, after you fill an order and get the reward, you will have the option to watch another advertisement video to multiply your rewards and earn energy and amethyst quickly.

Amethyst is the pseudo-premium currency of the game, but if you have the step tracker turned on in the game, you can convert steps to amethyst easily. Amethyst can also be collected from filling orders. You will need amethyst in order to unfreeze a new plant after you unlock it by breeding.

Have the game track your steps either from your phone or from your Fitbit, if you have one. You can store steps and trade them for energy, amethyst, and rubies later. Rubies are the premium currency of the game, and you can trade 10,000 steps for 10 rubies. This is the most reliable way to get free rubies, which are the rarest and most premium currency in the game.
