Pocket Road Trip – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Pocket Road Trip is a new endless driving game by Roofdog Games for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to go as far as you can without running out of gas, and you earn a nearly endless array of cars to enable you to do this in what ends up being almost a card-collection style of gameplay, as well as collecting cash and gold. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pocket Road Trip!

Your goal is to go as far as possible. To do this you do tricks, because when you do tricks you get boost after you land them, and when you are in boost mode you will not use any gas. Do flips by holding the screen, or do wheelies by tapping the screen to stay on your rear wheels – both of these tricks earn you boost. Do loads of wheelies when you have a car that doesn’t jump well or when you aren’t jumping.

Another way to boost the boost is to do big air and to do a perfect slam landing. Big air is more of a function of luck than skill, but a perfect slam landing means swiping down on the screen when your vehicle is in position to land on its wheels. When it lands you get the bonus. String enough of them together for a mega boost.

Your cars are rated in rarity from 1 star to 5 stars. Keep as many rare ones around as possible, and when you run out of room in your garage, fuse cars together. This requires a lot of cash though, and cash is hard to come by in stages, so to earn more cash, sell your cars that you don’t need – preferably one star cars. Fuse a car with the same kind of car for an even bigger boost.

Fuse a car with a toolbox for an extra bonus, but try using a toolbox as a car in a race. It can look absolutely hilarious, but a toolbox can do flips EXTREMELY quickly, allowing you to do possibly 5-6 of them in a row, or even more if you have a high enough jump. Just make sure to land with the handle up, and to be extra cautious that you are landing right side up.

Go as far as you can and you can collect the boxes at the end of the stage – the farther you go and the more tricks that you do, the more coins that drop automatically into the box game, meaning the better chances of collecting them. Gold and diamond boxes are the ones that are the most likely to give you free cars.
