Pokémon GO – How to load up on Poké Balls, Incense, Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules and Egg Incubators

Pokémon GO is the smash-hit app of the year so far. This iOS and Android game has you going to real life locations looking for Pokémon, but to do so you will need a ton of different items. Poké Balls, Great Balls, Master Balls, Incense, Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules and Egg Incubators are the items that are included in this game. Read on for some tips and tricks for how to get all of these items in Pokémon GO, as well as a guide to what they do!

The most basic way to get these, is to get free Pokécoins and use them to buy the various items. Each item, depending on rarity, costs a different amount. The only items that you cannot buy off of the list are Master Balls and Great Balls, at least at the beginning of the game. However, you can get all of these items without coins.

To get Poké Balls, Great Balls, Master Balls, Incense, Lucky Eggs, Lure Modules and Egg Incubators without having to spend anything, you need to find a Pokéstop. To get to a Pokéstop, you can walk, bike, jog, drive (just don’t use the phone while driving), whatever you want to do. You need to be right next to a Pokéstop in order to use it.

Go to the Pokéstop and tap it, then spin the coin. Assuming you’re not getting a “too far away” notification, spin it and you will get items. Find another Pokéstop and do the same thing. Come back to the same Pokéstop after a day or so and you will be able to spin it again, or just find more of them.

So what does each item do? Poké Balls, Great Balls, and Master Balls are all used to catch Pokémon – some are just more effective than others. A Pokémon will be outlined in green, yellow or red depending on how tough they are to catch at the level that you are at now. Master Balls can catch them all super easily, while Poké Balls are the least effective. Great Balls are somewhere in between.

Incense lures Pokémon to your current location. Lure Modules lure Pokémon to a specific Pokéstop for half an hour. Lucky Eggs double your experience points for half an hour. Egg Incubators can hatch up to three eggs before they break. All of these items are consumable, renewable and earnable.
