Police Runner is Ketchapp’s new game for the iOS and Android where you’re a car in a top-down overhead view, running from the police cars and trying to get them to smash into each other. Your goal is to get the highest score possible, to earn boosts, to collect coins, and then to use those coins to get new cars. Read on for some tips and tricks for Police Runner by Ketchapp!
You can turn either to the left or right by tapping on the left or right side of the screen. To turn softly, tap your turns, but hold down on the screen in order to turn hard. Turn too hard and you’ll go into a drift. It’s best to keep to the soft turns in order to avoid the cars the majority of the time.
Once your score tops about 1,000 or so, then you’ll have to start mixing hard turns into there, because before that, cars will mainly appear behind you and to the side of you, but after that, they’ll start appearing in front of you. Once you dodge them initially, though, keep to the soft turns. If a car gets too close behind you, you might need to do a hard turn in order to throw it off course, though.
If you let a car get extremely close to you and then avoid it, you’ll get a “near miss” bonus, which is worth 120 points at a time. Get three near miss bonuses, and you’ll go into revenge mode. Your car will grow large, and you’ll be able to chase down cop cars and run them over. The more of them you hit, the more points each one will be worth, but you have to hit them before you get small again. If you get small and then hit a car, you’ll die.
You can earn a handful of coins in the levels themselves, but your main way of earning more coins is by watching ad videos if you have an internet connection. You can then spend the coins on acquiring new cars. The cars all perform the same, but the look is different, so they provide a way to add customization to the game.
If you earn enough points, you’ll be able to collect four different upgrades. Accumulated points consist of all points earned throughout the course of the game. At 4,000 points you can upgrade your boost time. At 5,000 points you can upgrade the performance of your car. 10,000 points and you can buy an extra life boost. At 5,000 points, you can upgrade your revenge time.
