Pyramid Run is a new endless runner game that has just come out for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. While it is not by the same company that made Temple Run and Temple Run: Brave, you would think it is so. It is the same basic premise as those two games – turn left and right when you need to, tilt left and right, swipe down and up to slide under or jump over obstacles, and collect coins as you run. You can buy power ups along the way, too, of course. While Pyramid Run can be a tricky one at times, read on for some tips and tricks if you want to have less trouble with it.
The controls are what can sometimes be the trickiest part of the game. They don’t often respond instantly when you hit them; in fact, sometimes, the delay between a swipe and the character making the move can mean death. The solution is to swipe a little bit early. If you swipe a little bit early, your character will make the move that you want him to make without a hitch going off.
As far as slides, though, if you swipe VERY early, as early as you possibly can and still make it into the hole you are sliding into, that will help out a lot. Often, when you are stuck in a slide, the bad camera angle can make it very easy to get killed. When you slide early, the camera angle will fix itself with enough time for you to be able to see where you are going again.
When you are buying power ups, don’t bother buying the magnet power up unless you have the coins on you to get a second magnet power up as well. Instead, if you are trying to increase coins, spend money on the giant coin power up, or buy extra lives and simply collect more coins.
