This is one of the few mobile ARPGs where battles actually require a little bit of strategy to beat starting a bit early on in the game. The standard attacks will do the job, but the charge attacks will provide a huge advantage, especially against the bosses. Still, after quite a few upgrades, you can spend a good chunk of most levels in the autoplay mode, rather than in the manual mode.
The most basic form of strategy is to do the hit-and-run attacks when you’re in the manual mode. Attack, but don’t stick around long enough to let an enemy get a strong attack in, especially if it’s a boss that you’re facing. Additionally, you have limited numbers of charge attacks per character per battle, so after you use a charge attack for one character, switch over to another character and use the charge attack there too.
Split your summons evenly between the character summons and weapon summons. If you use your initial big-batch of Crest Stones on all character summons, it will take you a LONG time to catch up, so much so that it might be more worth it to delete your data and then start over again if you have already blown your stones and aren’t too far along in the game.
Unless you do a batch download, the game will do small downloads every time you play it, which will slow things down significantly. To remedy this, go to the settings and do a full batch download in order to grab all of the data at once. This can constitute nearly two gigabytes worth of data, so don’t do this unless you are on a strong wifi connection. This could take over an hour with LTE or 3G.
As you make your way through the story, you’ll unlock the ability to upgrade and evolve both your characters and your weapons. Character and evolve upgrades are done using gold and Crest Stones. Weapon upgrades are done by sacrificing unwanted weapons or using ingots. Evolving weapons will require holystones and gold. Evolving can only be done to characters and weapons once they reach max level.
