Gold is the premium currency of the game, and normally, you have to buy it from the in app purchase store. However, completing the quests can give you a lot of free gold. It adds up over time, so even though it might not seem like much at first, it adds up over time, allowing you to buy some premium bonuses for free.
If you want to keep your kingdom upgraded but don’t want to think about it too much or if you just want to get it done as quickly as possible, hit the silver hammer or the tips icon to go to the next recommended upgrade. If the upgrade takes less than five minutes, you can finish it immediately for free.
The area outside of the gate is reserved for your farms, lumber mills, other resource buildings, marching tents and first aid tents. Each time that you gain a player level, you can unlock more territory out here, allowing you to build more and more resource-earning buildings. Focus primarily on the farms as your troops drain your food just by existing. If you don’t have a high enough hourly food income, you’ll go into the negatives in food.
Join an alliance before you hit level 6, and be sure that you want to be dedicated to that alliance. If you do, then you can use the novice migration to move your kingdom so that you and your alliance can take over an area of the map together.
Keep any resources boxes in your bag until you need them. If they remain unused, then the resources contained inside cannot be stolen by other players. If you use them, then they will become available for other players to steal.
Before you set your army out against other players, test them out against mummies and other monsters that you find in the overworld. Scout them to determine how many troops you’ll need at minimum, but send as many troops as you can for each battle. The more you send, the less you’ll lose, and the more resources you can potentially carry.
