Run Forrest Run – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

It’s one of the most critically acclaimed movies of all time and is an icon of the ’90s, yet it never got a proper videogame adaptation. 20 years later, Forrest Gump gets translated into videogame mode in the form of Run Forrest Run, perhaps the most appropriate use of the endless runner genre of all time. Read on for some tips and tricks for Run Forrest Run!

Get around obstacles by swiping to the left or to the right to run around them. In addition, swipe up and Forrest will jump. Swipe down and he will do a baseball-style slide. Swipe up and then swipe down while you’re still in midair, and he will drop quickly into a roll. You can swipe to the left and to the right while you’re in midair as well.

The screen can quickly get flooded with obstacles. When it does, just follow the coins because they will lead you on a safe path, because cars and other vehicles will never drive through coins. Keep to the path set by the coins the entire time and you will never get hit (ideally, at least, since of course mistakes happen).

There are three stages and three Forrests that you can buy in exchange for chocolates. Alabama is the default stage, but you can purchase the Route 66 stage and the football stage using chocolates. Runner Forrest (who is extremely fast) and Football Forrest can be purchased for chocolates – and they tend to be very expensive to buy.

Unlike other endless runners where you have three missions at once, you have loads of achievements that can be completed for more coins, free chocolates and bigger prizes. Focus on completing these missions to get the best scores possible, as well, due to the permanent multipliers that you earn from completing the missions.

The best bang for your buck in power ups comes from the “permanent use” ones, which increase the duration of drops such as the glider and the rocket and which give you the bug-catching net to collect coins (among other drops). However, if you are going for a weekly distance run to beat your friends, buy the one-use power ups and cram as many of them into one stage as you can at a time.
