Sensei Wars is a new real time strategy game for the iOS and Android platforms. This Clash of Clans-esque game by 2K sports puts you in the shoes of a Chinese dojo who is in a constant state of war against the Mongols and against other dojos. Your dojo’s goal is to build up power, gold, food and gems, recruit the biggest armies full of the best troops, band together to form clan-like dynasties, and try to take over China and beat back the Mongols. Read on for some tips and tricks for Sensei Wars!
Since you start off with beginner protection, use that time to build up your defenses. You start off with plenty of available defensive buildings, such as the belltowers, along with walls and caltrops that you can build (most of your walls are already built). Maximize their effectiveness by moving all of your buildings as closely together as possible, so that more of them are in range of the maximum possible number of defensive buildings. This makes it easier to surround your whole dojo with walls, too.
You start off with plenty of gems, but they disappear fast. Complete various achievements (tap the trophy icon to see what they are) in order to earn more gems, as well as experience points. If you are ever lost, bored or just don’t know what to do next, go here to figure it out.
When it comes to attacking other dojos, try to use as few of your troops as possible if you can, since each of your troops disappears after use, whether they die or not. If you just need resources, send in your sensei to distract the guns, then send in rickshaws or other cheap, plentiful troops to go steal resources
Otherwise, amend your strategy as you unlock troops. Send in a couple of Samurai to distract and destroy defenses, then send in archers to fire over walls, and monks and rickshaws to raid the resources. Upgrade your favorite troops by unlocking the Corridor of Steles (when you upgrade the Dojo to level 3) and the Shaolin Temple for extra, more advanced troops. Of course, always build and upgrade your Ancestor’s Hall (and build more Ancestor’s Halls) to hold more troops, since it’s a numbers game first and foremost.
