Slicing is a new endless game by Ketchapp for the iOS and Android platforms that deconstructs the gameplay of old classics such as Fruit Ninja. Your goal in this game is to get as high of a score as possible by tapping to slice objects as they fly up or fly down. Collect the power-ups and coins and watch out for the objects that will end your run. Read on for some tips and tricks for Slicing!
Slicing the object on the way down will earn you a point, but slicing it on the way up will earn you multipliers. The more things that you slice on the way up, the more points per square (or other object) that you’ll earn. These multipliers can go for as long as you can sustain the streak, allowing for insanely high scores.
Collect power ups by slicing them, as well. The two main power-ups are the snail and the super slice. The snail will slow things down and turn the background green for awhile. The super slice will cause three slicing wires to appear at a time instead of one, which makes it extremely easy to rack up long power slicing streaks.
The one thing to watch out for, no matter what, is the black square. If you slice a black square, your run is over immediately. If you see one, simply let it fall down. Once it falls off of the screen, the other objects will start to pop up again, so treat it as a bit of a break in the middle of the round.
You earn coins as you slice and from watching ad videos, as well as from free gifts. Once you earn 200 coins, you will be able to unlock a whole new object. Stick with the objects that are as close to round or square as possible as they provide bigger targets, making them easier to slice. Something like the banana, for example, makes it a whole lot tougher to slice each piece that flies up.
Overall, the ads in this game are not that intrusive. If you still want to get rid of them, though, you can buy a two dollar in-app purchase that will make them go away for good. If you delete the game and then download it again, click on restore purchase to bring back ad-free for free. If you can’t afford the IAP, then set your phone or tablet into airplane mode in order to temporarily get rid of the ads.
