Sling Drift is a new endless racing game from Tastypill with a unique concept, which is that you shoot out a string in order to drift around corners. Your goal is to go for the highest score possible, make it from level to level, complete various missions, and unlock a whole bunch of new cars. Read on for some tips and tricks for Sling Drift!
If you want to be as accurate as possible, try to go for perfect drifts every time. They won’t increase your score, but they will ensure that you finish your drift in the middle of the track, allowing you to have as much leeway as possible on the next turn. Plus, perfect turns are required for many of the missions, allowing you to earn more gems in the process.
Inevitably, though, you’re going to make some bad turns, and when you do, a “perfect” drift might end up killing you by flinging you too far to the side until you hit a wall. Instead of going for the perfect turn, then you should simply seek to end your turn at a point where your momentum will fling you back towards the middle of the course.
Collecting gems will allow you to unlock more cars. Each time that you pass from one level to the next, you’ll collect bonus gems. Also, if you want to earn gems quickly, go to the car select page and, if you have a data connection, you will be able to watch an ad video in exchange for 100 free gems. You can watch as many videos as you want, so that you can earn gems quickly.
Each car looks different from the others, but they all perform exactly the same way. They are there more for a collection and customization element than for gameplay reasons. You can either unlock a specific new car for 1,250 gems, or you can unlock a new random car for 1,000 gems.
Start completing challenges in order to earn more gems. Challenges start off at a worth of 100 gems, then increase by 10 gems (example, 110 gems, then 120 gems, etc) after every five challenges. You can pay 200 gems to skip one challenge, although that’s a bit pointless when the challenges tend to be rather easy to complete, and when you’re trying to save up gems for new cars, anyways.
