Slingshot Braves is the first RPG on the iOS and Android platforms to merge the traditional RPG play with an Angry Birds-style slingshot mechanic, and it works far better than you might expect. Like many RPGS, and especially like most mobile RPGs, Slingshot Braves features a system of upgrading and evolving your weapons and your armor. Read on for a full guide on how to enhance and upgrade everything in Slingshot Braves.
Upgrading your equipment is done using the “upgrade” function in the equipment menu. The way to do this is to select one piece of equipment as the base equipment. Next, select from the various materials that you collect throughout the game. Each piece of material that you add to the upgrade will add more experience to that particular piece of equipment.
If you don’t have enough materials or gold to pay for the upgrade, going to battle is one of the top ways to earn more. Another way is to sell equipment that you don’t need anymore, or to dismantle anything that you no longer have use for. Dismantling equipment will transform it into raw materials that can be put into future upgrade, while selling it will earn you more gold.
Each piece of equipment is made out of one or more types of materials. If you upgrade it using the same materials, then you will get a 50% experience bonus for each piece of synergistic material that you upgrade with.
Each equipment has a maximum upgrade level as well. Once you upgrade it to the maximum level, the option to evolve the equipment opens up. Doing this requires a particular set of materials, which differs depending on the piece of equipment that you want to evolve. It also requires a whole lot more gold than merely upgrading a piece of equipment.
Once you have all of what you need, do the evolution and the equipment will get a moderate boost in attack, defense or HP, and will drop back down to level 1, as well as change names. The rarer the equipment, the more gold and the rarer the materials that you will need in order to pull off the upgrade.
This might seem like a disappointment at first because the boost in the equipment will be so small, but the real fun is in the next upgrade. Upgrade the equipment again to kick it up a number of levels and get a massive statistical boost.
