Slingshot Braves is a new RPG for the iOS and Android platforms, with one of the most innovative turn-based battle systems to date. Basically, imagine a traditional turn based RPG battle system mixed with Angry Birds. Other than that, this is one of the best free-to-play RPGs ever released, with graphics befitting a console. Read on for some tips and tricks for Slingshot Braves!
No matter which weapon you pick at the beginning, you can choose between all three weapons at any time, and your other party members will have equipped the weapons that you didn’t want. Each one has a different slingshot mechanism, and other weapons that you find later on will have their own slingshot benefits, as well, so pick your favorite style of attack, and equip the weapon that possesses it.
From there, upgrade your weapons using all of the materials that you pick up (as well as the armor that you have). If you are stuck on any battle, go to a previous battle that you have already beaten, and fight again to build up materials and coins. Then use them to upgrade your weapons and armor until you are strong enough to win the battle.
Each piece of equipment is made of a specific type of material. When you upgrade it using the same type of material, you will get a huge experience point boost. When you equip two or more items that are made of the same material, you will get a synergy bonus that will boost your attack and defense.
When you max out an equipment’s level, you will then be able to evolve it by using a specific number of certain materials (it varies depending on what it is). The actual evolution won’t provide a big statistical boost, but the real benefit comes in the first upgrade afterwards. Your equipment will be back down at level 1, so one upgrade can boost the equipment by multiple levels at a time.
Participate in the events whenever they come up, because the events will always be one of the best ways to earn rare new equipment. Participate in the co-op battles as well for a chance at great rewards, especially equipment that wouldn’t be possible to earn in the single player modes.
