Smash Hit (iOS/Android) – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Smash Hit is a new (duh) smash-hit game for the iOS and Android platforms. It’s an endless game where your goal is to get as far as you can by throwing silver balls at glass windows, crystals and other obstacles that threaten to block your path. The graphics are some of the best in the history of mobile, looking like some sort of SGI simulation from back in the day. Read on for some tips and tricks for Smash Hit!

Conserving your balls is a big part of getting as far as you can in this game. While it’s tempting to throw balls at every glass surface just to watch them shatter, save them for only the surfaces that are going to be in your way. If you hit a glass surface, you’ll lose 10 balls, and when you lose balls, your run is done, but if you pass by a glass surface without hitting it, you will lose absolutely nothing.

Throw balls at every crystal that you can, and make sure to aim to account for gravity (so aim higher, the further away that it is). The crystals that are connected to something are worth 3 balls each, while the crystals that are floating in the air are worth 5 balls each, due to being slightly more difficult to hit.

Try to get as many crystals in a row as you can. You’ll earn ball multipliers if you do, which allow you to throw more than one ball per shot, but still costing only 1 ball each time that you throw. You can get up to 5x balls at once, which is extremely helpful not only for hitting more crystals, but for breaking obstacles as well.

Endless ball power ups are extremely effective and fun to use, but don’t forget that you don’t have to activate them right away when you earn them. Instead, save them so that when you hit an extremely difficult area, especially one that does not have that many crystals, you can use them and come out of the other side with your balls intact.

Also, once you use an endless power-up, if you want to destroy obstacles on all sides of the screen, hold the screen with two or even three fingers at a time, or more if you are on a tablet. You’ll fire balls in every single one of those directions at the same time.
