Smite Blitz is a new mobile RPG for the iOS and Android platforms based off of the highly-popular Smite MOBA. Much like Smite itself, Smite Blitz features all kinds of mythological gods from Greek, Norse, Indian, and other types of religions and mythology. Your goal in this game is to build a team of gods, go on quests and adventures through the overworld, and compete in all kinds of special events.
You can make your way through the overworld in the Adventure mode, and as you quest through the game, you will be able to unlock all sorts of other goodies, ranging from an elite mode to dungeons, new gods, equipment for your gods, and more.
Read on for some tips and tricks for Smite Blitz!
First step to success is to know the classes of each of the gods, and what their uses are. Guardians are primarily tanks with short range attacks, so put them in the front. Mages are ranged magic users and AoE damage dealers, so put them in the back and let the tanks protect them. Assassins are quick, speedy, short range DPS fighters who are fragile but powerful.
Hunters are somewhat fragile, and specialize in physical range attacks, such as bow and arrow attacks. Finally, the Warriors are all-arounders, with good defense, good damage, and primarily close-range melee attacks. A good blend of most or all of these types of these gods is how you build up your team, and with four god slots to begin with (and nine maximum eventually), you’ll have plenty of room to work all of the types in.
When you’re setting your lineup, check your god types. Set Mages and Hunters in the back, since they’re range types. Set the Guardians and Warriors in the front, as they’re the tankiest of them all. Set Assassins in the middle, as they’re not tanky by they are close range attackers.
Mages also double as the healers of the group, most of the time, so use at least one mage in tougher battles in order to get healing spells and outlast the other team. Often people don’t think of healers when it comes to building a team, but they are one of the most important members of a team, as they can help you outlast tough bosses.
Be sure to watch out for battles where the enemy uses trick tactics, through. Enemies like to spawn to the side or to the rear of your team, especially in boss battles where you have one extremely tanky boss in front and spawning hordes to the side of you. For battles like this, you might have to change things up a bit and use different formations. It’s best to have a number of presets so that you can send in different formations based on different needs.
Get through Adventure mode as quickly as you can. To speed things along while in it, hit skip to ignore the story if you’re not interested in it, then set battles at auto and double-speed. Play through as much of it as you can with double-speed and auto-battle. Then, when you get to harder points where you have trouble winning, switch back to manual so that you can make better strategic decisions and beat tougher enemies and bosses.
You get various rewards based on how many stars you collect in Adventure mode, so if you don’t three star a level, go back to it whenever you get around to upgrading, whether by increasing the level of your Gods (each god maxes out at a multiple level of 5), their equipment, or their skills. Stars also help you to unlock the next set of levels, so be on the lookout for opportunities to load up on the stars.
Be sure to complete all possible special events in this game. Special events are usually limited-time only, and they will ordinarily come with the rarest rewards, including limited-edition rare gods. When they’re gone, more new special events will take their place, so do all possible special events so that you can max out on the limited-edition and rare rewards.
