Snow Town: Ice Village World is a new old-school city-building game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to make your town into a big, populated and powerful city, make your citizens happy, and make your city look good in the process. You can earn cash, diamonds, and more in your pursuit of power and happiness. Read on for some tips and tricks for Snow Town: Ice Village World!

Diamonds are the premium currency of the game. The main way to get diamonds is through the use of in-app purchases, but if you can’t afford or just don’t want to spend the money, you can get diamonds for free. To do this, go to the video icon in the upper left corner and tap it. Once the video ends, you’ll get a free diamond. One diamond isn’t much, but they majorly add up over time.

Your commercial and residential buildings need to be next to a road in order to be useful. They only need to be next to one single road, though, so if you want to be space efficient, you can do the old SimCity trick and fit four buildings around one piece of road just by offsetting them a bit from one another and leaving one single space in the middle with a road.

Decorations, however, do not need to be connected to a road. So if you are actually trying to make your city look like a city, with realistic roads, then keep this in mind when you’re doing construction. Place your decorations so that they are not touching your roads, typically behind the collection of residential and commercial buildings.

Tap on the icons on the left side of the screen for a list of achievements to complete. All of them will give you significant amounts of both cash and experience points – some more than others depending on how long it takes to complete the achievement. The quicker you complete them, the quicker you can level up, and leveling up allows you to unlock more buildings.

Only build as many expansions as you need on an immediate basis right off the bat. Don’t just build them because you can afford them with all of the cash that you start with at the beginning, because if you blow it on expansions, that cash goes away QUICKLY and screws up everything else you’re trying to do. Instead, use it on commercial buildings, leveling up, residential buildings, and upgrading existing buildings, so that you can then start making that amount of cash on your own.
