Spiral is a new endless roller game by Ketchapp for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to go as far as you can and rack up a high score as you roll down the side of the tower. You can collect gems, unlock new balls and towers, and compare your own high score to that of other players. Read on for some tips and tricks for Spiral by Ketchapp!
You have to jump over barriers to earn points in this game, but those barriers come up on you extremely quickly, and there is very little room for error in timing your jumps because if your jump is too low, you will smash up against the barrier and your round will be over. Keep an eye on the barriers as they make their way up the spiral and time them so that you can make the jump in time to clear the barrier.
Right now, the Game Center high score system is not connected properly to the game, but Google Play’s high scoring system should be properly connected and Game Center should be fixed with the next update, and then you will be able to compare your high scores to other players around the world.
Gems allow you to purchase new balls and new towers. The primary given way to earn gems is to collect them as you play, but if you go to one of the two store menus, you’ll see an icon at the bottom left corner of the screen that depicts a video icon and a +20 gems icon. Tap it and a video ad will play and when the ad is over, close it and you will earn 20 free gems. You can watch unlimited video ads for as many gems as you want.
Not only can you buy new towers and new marbles for 200 gems apiece, but you can get two free marble types for either liking the game on Facebook or following Ketchapp on Twitter, via the store menu, or simply tapping the like and follow buttons and then not following through with it. The main changes in these items are that the marbles will be a different color and the towers will have a different design/pattern on them. Other than that, gameplay is the same.
When you are in the middle of playing, try as hard as possible to ignore the gems and focus on the barriers. You’ll collect the gems whether you are paying attention to them or not, and even if you rack up high scores, the gems will still be worth peanuts compared to what you get from watching the video ads.
