Swing Rider is a new game by Voodoo for the iOS and Android platforms where you and four other computer-controller characters swing across a city from ropes, like Tarzan writ large, with one player being eliminated per round, until the last man or woman standing wins the game.
Your goal, of course, is to be the last person standing, to win each round, and gain as many experience levels as possible. You can catch speed boosts to swing at high speed, race ahead of others, and try to avoid obstacles in the process.

The basics of swinging are that you have to try to get through the yellow and golden hoops that are floating around the city. Each time you go through a hoop, you get a massive speed boost, and if you go through many hoops in a row, you can essentially keep that speed boost going indefinitely.
The way to do that is, of course, to time your swings right. Hold the screen longer to swing longer and move upward. Use shorter swings to ease your way downward or to keep at an even elevation. Your altitude is important, not only for hitting hoops, but for avoiding obstacles.
Your main obstacles are the bridges that you see around town. Run into one and you’ll smash into it, respawn, and end up far enough back to drop you from first place to last place. The same thing happens if you crash-land on the ground, so avoid going too low, as well, so that you don’t end up crashing down.
At the end of all rounds, you’ll earn a number of experience points depending on what place you finished in. First place is worth 30, second place is worth 20, and so on, and once you fill up the experience bar, you’ll gain a level. The levels don’t have a lot of practical use beyond bragging rights or score comparisons, although they might have more added later.
Although it seems like you are playing against other players, you are actually playing against entirely computer-controlled characters. You can tell because if you have no internet connection, you can still play this game. Plus, without a connection, none of the usual ads will load, making for a pleasant ad-free experience.
There are a ton of skins that you can use in this game. Right now, they are all available from the very beginning. Keep on the lookout though, as Voodoo likes to add skins that can be unlocked by completing some sort of specific action, and they usually add new skins at least once or twice throughout the life of the game.
