Syllablade is a new game by Naquatic LLC that combines word games such as Word Crossy or Words With Friends, with mobile RPGs. Your hero attacks enemy monsters when you spell words, and your goal is to make it to higher and higher levels, get all sorts of new equipment, and fight tougher and tougher enemies. Read on for some tips and tricks for Syllablade!
Letters are given a specific value in this game, and it’s the same value that it is in Scrabble and Words with Friends, so if you make a word with a Q, an X or a J, it’s worth more points. The main difference is that QU are combined into one tile in this game, instead of two, making it far easier to come up with a Q word than in similar games to this.
If you can’t make a word with any of your tiles, you have two options. One of them is to hit the gem button and if you have any gems, you can use them on a special attack. The other is to hit the bomb button, which blows up every tile on the board and uses up one of your turns; in turn, you will get all new tiles.
If a special tile pops up on the board, swipe over it and place it on the beginning, middle, or end of another word for a boost. For example, the weapon tiles will cause extra damage to be done to your enemy. The skull and crossbones tile will poison the enemy, doing delayed damage to them.
Purchase new equipment whenever you can afford it. The new equipment will add attack or health or defense, no matter whether you actively equip it or not, so the more pieces of equipment you have, the better your stats will be.
While it’s the total count of the letter value of each tile, plus your attack power, that decide how much your attack will be, the length of your word is also important. If you score a word of five or more tiles at a time, then you will add a notch to the gem finder, which has eight notches. Fill the whole thing up and you will earn a free gem.
