Terra Battle – The Ultimate Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Terra Battle is a new puzzle RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakagucki and his Mistwalker studio. Fitting, then, that it feels like you’re playing the Final Fantasy of something, here. There’s a million different puzzle RPGs for the iOS and Android platforms, from Puzzle & Dragons to the countless branded properties (Dr. Who and Wicked, anyone?) but this feels like the Final Fantasy of the genre. Read on for some tips and cheats for Terra Battle!

There’s an extremely easy “cheat” to do in battle – not really a cheat but a trick that makes any battle extremely easy. To begin with, put two hero tiles on either side of one enemy tile (or more than one enemy tile) to attack, and then any other hero tile that’s adjacent to one of those two will be used in the attack. This is fairly obvious – it’s explained right there inside the tutorial.

That’s the main battle system, and one trick breaks almost the entire system. You can swap a tile’s position by moving another tile over it, and when you begin a battle your heroes will all be lined up on the bottom half of the screen. That means that they will be almost COMPLETELY unassailable, since enemies usually have to surround your heroes to attack them.

Swap tiles until enemy tiles move down right next to one of yours, then pincer them and annihilate them. Repeat for all enemies that you face. This automatically gets every single one of your party members in on the attack, chaining all six of them together. Use this as both your attack and defense and losing will be almost impossible to do.

This game is very old school in that the only way to improve your heroes is simply to level them up (at least for now); however, add jobs to your heroes, and you will be able to modify their stats – not necessarily improve them, just change them. You need a ton of items to do this, which can be found both on the main map and in the special event stages. Go to the Arena and go to “special” to hit the event stages.

Metal is the most common of the events, and you need metal tickets in order to unlock it. This will earn you experience points rapidly, so use it to catch a new fighter up with all of your older ones. Metal monsters are not very strong, but they will run away very quickly if you don’t kill them right away.

Coins and energy are your two main currencies. If you need more coins, go to the older stages and play them again (this is also a good way to grind for experience points). Spend what you get on new heroes until you fill your entire team up with rares.
