Tower Knights is a new iOS and Android tower defense game that mixes the horizontal and the vertical. Your goal is to defend your tower against the host of monsters who want to destroy it, while collecting gold and gems, upgrading your knight and his attacks, and moving through increasingly difficult levels. Read on for some tips and tricks for Tower Knights!
You have a load of different strategies in your repertoire to combat enemies, and many of them actually cause your tower to grow taller. The fireball power-up, for example, adds a couple of floors to the length of your tower, so make this the cornerstone of your defense, at least early on in the game, so that you have more room to work with.
Any time that you want more coins quickly, go to the coin menu of the in-app purchase store. There will be a button to get free gold for watching a video. Do this and you will earn a free 300 coins. In addition, when you earn other rewards within the game, watching a video will allow you to double the rewards.
Use these coins to keep your knight upgraded so that you can withstand more attacks, dish out tougher hits, and add power to your special attacks. If you are stuck on any level, either watch videos or go back to an old level and fight for coins. Then use them to upgrade your knight. After some upgrades, go back to the tough level and try to beat it again.
You can unlock more powers, more heroes and more tower defenses by progressing from island to island. However, you can also unlock the hero Rogue, the strongest hero in the game, by making a $4.99 in-app purchase. This will make the game a lot easier, but even without this in-app purchase, it’s a very beatable game.
Use a hit and run strategy to do the most damage while taking the least damage. Attack and then back off so that you can heal up a bit (your character automatically regains HP). Or let them come to you, attack them and then run back. Use your spinning slash to do a lot of damage, but make sure to account for the knock-back caused by your regular attack before you use it, so that you can aim it right.
