Twisted Tangle is a new iOS and Android game where your goal is to untangle a series of ropes in order to move onto the next level. Each level has more ropes than the last, often in a much more confusing and complicated configurations than the last, but every level can be untangled and beaten. You have normal levels, plus the challenge levels which have far greater difficulty but also far greater rewards, and more.
Read on for a collection of tips and cheats for Twisted Tangle!
If you start off at the beginning from the first level of the game, everything is pretty easy, and you only have two or three ropes at a time, which allows you to get the hang of the physics of the game. Start off by playing through the main levels, even if you find them to be too easy, because they will become far less easy as you move on.
The key to beating each level is finding out which rope you can move first. Once you get that first rope out of the way, all of the other ones will tend to fall into place. Look to see which rope you can move first and where you can move it.
The challenge levels have a ridiculous number of ropes at a time, but they will give you far greater rewards than one of the normal levels. They are also timed, so you have almost no time to stop and think; you have to start moving it immediately. Of course, you can restart them as many times as you want, which does allow you to stop and think a little bit.
There are also epic levels, which are even more difficult than the challenge levels, but with even greater rewards. In order to unlock the epic levels, you have to beat 10 of the challenge levels at minimum. Once you do that, then you will be able to try your hand at the epic levels.
This game allows you to unlock a bunch of different skins for your ropes, your pins, and your backs. Most of them can be unlocked by using coins, but the golden skins can only be unlocked by special offers within the game.
The skins don’t do anything to affect the gameplay at all, all that they do is change the appearance of the game. They can still be fun to collect, though, especially if the collection element of the game is one of your favorite parts.
There are two ways to get rid of the advertisements in the game. One way is to purchase the ad free option, which costs five dollars or the equivalent in your local currency, and allows you to keep the optional ads around in case you want to earn bonuses. The other is to start the game in airplane mode with no data, which gets rid of every single ad including the ones that you might want to watch.
I’m on level 279 and cannot work out what I need to do. There are loose pins and ropes with no pins but I can’t move most of the pins and the ropes keep turning red. Any ideas?
@Scully, try moving the ropes without setting them in place, it untangles them, pull them to a side and let them retract on their own, you wont waste a move if its a challenge level
@Scully, same… I’m on 296 and there is a rope that has no connecting point with and it starts green/purple, but turns red when you try to move a pin. I was somehow able to get all the things untangled, but then the level froze, and now I have to try to do it again, but I can’t. Super frustrating!!
I’m on level 331 and there are no empty spaces. How can you move any rope?

Any idea how to use the keys in this game; a rope won’t move if there is a lock on it?
i am on level 1076 — WHY ARE THERE SO MANY “Tripple Levels”?? OMFGosh these are so annoying. I miss the single levels lol
