War Wings – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats, and Strategies

War Wings is a new aerial combat game for the iOS and Android platforms. You’re placed in PvP competitions against other players and their planes. In addition, you also have a number of other aerial missions to complete, such as bombing opposing enemy troops in missions modeled after old World War missions. Read on for some tips and tricks for War Wings!

Two of your most effective modes of auto-tracking are the God View and the Jager view. God View allows you to see the entire map of the screen, as well as the locations of both the enemy planes and the planes that are on your side. Jager view goes along well with God view, and tapping the Jager button, which you learn about in the tutorial, automatically allows you to fly towards a specific enemy plane.

However, these are not perfect. When you’re tracking an enemy, oftentimes the Jager view will lead you towards a huge number of missed shots. When this happens, you’ll have to correct your aim, and aim at the red target in front of the nose of the enemy aircraft, which is automatically placed in order to account for the distance in between you and said aircraft. Aim at this little red target to land your shots.

When you’re being targeted, there are a number of ways you can avoid getting shot. One of these is the aileron roll, which is basically a barrel roll. Swipe left or right on the screen and you’ll roll all the way over in the direction that you swiped in. This is a good way of shaking off enemy shots, as well as repositioning yourself so that you can quickly turn the tide and take aim at enemies.

Keep the upgrades coming. You’ll earn silver as you go, and silver will allow you to buy more upgrades for your plane. The upgrades will do everything from increase your firepower to strengthen your armor, although some upgrades do absolutely nothing, such as upgrading the paint on your plane. Unless style is a big concern, keep the upgrades to the practical and not the cosmetic.

It may take a bit of experimentation to figure out which planes are the best for your style of play. You can get more planes as you go on, but if you want to reap the benefits right away, as long as you don’t log in with Facebook or Game Center, you can delete the app, reinstall it, and then pick another plane and see how you like it. You can get other missions this way, too.
