Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a new iOS and Android strategy RPG. Forget the quick, do-nothing battle systems of most RPGs for mobile platforms – this one has long, strategy-laden battles reminiscent of Shining Force and Final Fantasy Tactics, with card-battling elements to make it even more complex and entertaining, allowing you to collect parts, runes and credits and craft cards to your liking. Read on for some tips and tricks for Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf!
Whenever it is one character’s turn, they will have two moves available. Sometimes, though, you can stretch that into more than one extra move. Use one of your moves or cards, then shut down the app – don’t minimize it, but shut it all the way down. Then reload the app and you’ll go back to the battle, and you’ll have two moves left, but your progress from the previous move will have been saved already. This works about 50% of the time.
Every mission will have one main quest and (usually) multiple side quests for you to complete. Focus on only one of these side quests at a time, because usually they will be extremely difficult to complete, meaning that it will be INSANELY difficult to complete more than one of them at a time unless you go back to an old stage when you are further along into the game. Go back as needed to redo these quests.
Work towards unlocking more decks before you start on little upgrades. Save up 5,000 credits apiece for the scout pack and the terminator pack; after that, then start using credits to upgrade each one of the decks and unlocking skills specific to those decks. Don’t buy boosters unless you have a big surplus of credits – there are plenty of ways to get more cards for free in this game.
Keep a well rounded batch of cards. Keep plenty of running and shield cards, as well as effort cards, and for the attack cards, always try to have splash damage cards (such as missile launchers, grenades and flamers) so that you can do as much combined damage as possible. But watch out because these will damage your own party members if they get close enough.
Want to get plenty of rare and uncommon cards? Take your parts to the forge or if you want more parts without playing any missions, then break down existing cards that you don’t need. Spend 250 parts apiece on extreme forges, using all the runes you have, and watch the UC, R, and E-rated cards flow in at high speed!
