It’s not immediately obvious what the couch does, but it’s actually very useful in the higher levels. The game claims that it “improves customer relations”, but its actual use is doubling the experience points given by selling weed, using the bong or using the joint. It also doubles whatever boost the music gives.
The fastest way, therefore, to gain experience points without having to use tasks or when you run out of tasks, is not the striptease, because the striptease does not get buffed by playing music. It’s to build a big stash of weed, then play a record, and start doing joint-bong-sell to every customer, or bong-joint-sell (either way, it works the same). You’ll get 2xp (or 1xp without the couch) times whatever the music buff is, times 3 for three different actions.
When that popup appears that prompts you to share and keep playing, despite the fact that there is no close button/X on the screen, you can still make it disappear. Hit the share button and then hit Cancel in order to keep playing. Or you can shut the app down and turn it back on again (yes, this does seem to fix a lot of things in this game).
If you want to make the ads go away, play the game offline by turning off the data and disconnecting from any wifi networks you might be connected to. I don’t necessarily recommend this though as the ads are the primary way that the developers make money from this free game. Not to mention that it’s nice having your data on in general.
The gallon of water will refill any pot all the way, but there is no point in buying it because it’s completely inefficient for cost. It costs 100 bucks for a six pack of large bottles, and two large bottles will refill for any plant, since every plant only takes 3-4 minutes to grow.
Save money in the long run by purchasing the sci-fi pots when you unlock them. The benefit of these is that water will never drop, so you can put as little water in as you want (small bottle) and still grow a full sized plant. It takes a very long time to see that savings, though, considering that it costs 4,000 dollars to purchase one of these pots. Don’t buy one unless you have the shotgun so that you can run Frank off when he comes to the door.
