WICKED: The Game – Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

WICKED: The Game is a new puzzle game for the iOS, Android, Amazon, and by extension, BlackBerry as well. This quest-based match three game contains multiple goals and methods of gameplay that allow you to unlock the story of Elphaba straight out of the book and the play. Read on for some tips and tricks for WICKED: The Game!

Like in most match-three games, you start this one off with five lives. Each time you lose a stage, you lose a life, and each lost life takes twenty minutes to regenerate. If you don’t want to wait, though, then simply set the time ahead on your phone. The time should be set ahead by 20 minutes per life, so if you’re all out of lives, set it ahead by 100 minutes.

After setting the time ahead, go back to the game to verify that your lives have been recovered. Now, you can go back to the date and time settings and set the time back to normal. Once you do that, go back to the game yet again and all of the lives that you had just recovered will still be there. That means that you can do this trick as many times as you want to without having to set the time ahead by a ridiculous amount.

Most levels will involve trying to get to a certain magical object. As the levels get bigger and more sprawling you will need to pay more and more attention and map out the stage in advance. Scroll around the stage by placing your thumb on a square with no tiles, and drag it around. Once you find the object, then start mapping your way to it.

Making combinations of four or more gems will give you special pieces. Four gems in a row will create a bomb which blows up a 3×3 area of gems. Making an L, T or + shape with five gems will make a piece that blows up one row and one column. 5 in a row will create a piece that, when mixed with a color, knocks off every piece of that color within about 10 spaces of the piece on each side.

Connect the game to Facebook and you can ask your friends for boosters, such as the hammer, and for lives. If you don’t have any friends who play WICKED: The Game, then search around the App Store reviews page or Facebook fan pages for the game to find more.
