Words Story is a new prison-escape word game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to break out of prison, but to do that, you must solve word puzzles. Each puzzle solved moves you to a new day, and as you solve, you’ll continue to dig your way out, picking up various items to help you along the way. Read on for some tips and tricks for Words Story!
Usually, the word that you have to solve will be a short word. Oddly enough, the shorter words are tougher than the longer words, because there’s so many possibilities, but only one of them is correct. When you input a word, the correct letter will glow blue. The right letter in the wrong spot will glow yellow. The wrong letter will stay white. In the letter-select area, the wrong letters will then be grayed out.
While this doesn’t come into play until later in the game, you can tap the same letter multiple times. Most of the time, you won’t have to, but once every ten days or so, you’ll have to solve a word which requires you to put in repeat letters, and the game won’t explain it to you when it comes up for the first time.
When you get an item, it will increase the distance that you dig each time that you do. Every once in awhile, your character will go out in to the yard and dump out a pile of rubble. This is followed by the distance dug that day, and the distance dug overall since you started your journey.
Some items will be found just by completing a word, but most of the items will be offered to you with a video ad. These won’t pop up if you are playing the game without an internet connection, so make sure that you have a connection when you play if you want to find the bonuses.
Other video offers will come up, some of which are more worthwhile than others. Watch in order to spin when that offer comes up. You’ll win coins most of the time, and items a strict minority of the time. Often you’ll also have a relationship development with someone else in the yard (such as bribing a guard), and you can watch a video to upgrade that one level higher, too.
