Zombieland: Double Tapper – Walkthrough, Cheats, Tips, and Strategy Guide

Zombieland: Double Tapper is a new mobile game based off of Zombieland: Double Tap, the new movie which has a name that in itself sounds like a mobile game. Your goal is to make your way through city after city, liberating and rescuing your fellow people (who are also named after cities) from zombies, before moving onto the next city, eventually rescuing everyone in America from zombies.

You can load up on goodies such as Twinkies and Tokens (the two main currencies of the game), items such as Wisdom Nuggets, Blue Prints, Keys, Sim Cards, and Scraps, build a good equipment loadout for your characters, and play in a number of events for special kinds of rewards.

For the most part, the action in the levels constantly remains the same – tap to attack zombies, or let your characters do it on your own, with the potential for offline income if you navigate away from the level for a bit. Keep upgrading your characters until they hit the “Nut Up” point, then nut them up, as that’s the way to give them a huge boost of power.

Watch for the bird to fly by carrying a pumpkin. Whenever you see it, tap on the pumpkin to drop it and collect coins, as well as candies. The coins are used for upgrades and nut ups, and the birds are your largest source of coins, by far.

Make sure that your heroes are equipped with every possible available weapon, armor, and trinket that you can give them. Filling up all of the equipment slots should be the first priority. Upgrading your weapons and trinkets should be next in line, followed by trying to find the rare and epic weapons and trinkets, and giving them to your heroes.

Whenever you see a number next to one of the icons on the main menu, check it because generally this means that you have something to collect. You’ll rack up rewards as you make your way from city to city or from hunt to hunt, including rewards for doing absolutely nothing.

Make sure that before you go offline, you always set your team in at least one city or hunt, if not two cities or two hunts at the same time. Set your characters, then go offline for however long you plan to (to sleep, for example). Come back, and your team will either have beaten the hunt or city entirely, or be much farther along, and you will have a lot more money to show for it.

You can always cash out of the level before you finish every single stage if you don’t want to continue it. Often levels will take a long time to beat, and you won’t be required to do the entire thing, so use this option to cash out when you want to make it farther without going backwards. You will miss out on maximum rewards unless you go all the way through the level, though.

Keep an eye out for the daily hunts and the specific dungeons, though. Daily hunts will be in purple, and blue background is used for the specific quests. Blue quests include the Melee Scrap Run, which earns you melee weapon scraps, and Token Runs, which earn you tokens, the primary currency of the game.

For the most effective team, try to build a team with at least one tank, at least one DPS fighter, and at least one supporter. Too many tanks and battles can last way too long. Too many DPS fighters and they’ll lose way too quickly. Too many supporters and they will just waste time and do no damage before earning you the loss.
